film review

I have written my text for my film review i have tried to add a professional feel with an articulate use of language. There is always room for improvement and by creating my review on photoshop i can change edit and alter the layout and text at any time. one element i noted within other reviews is they have a connection with the audience in both synthetic personalisation and slight humor, i might need to improve the amount i tried to add paragraphs so i can adjust the text to fit around the screen shots which will dominate the page.

As far as short films go, If walls could speak, is up their with the best. We’ve all seen films meant to have messages and meaning behind it but this one has an intriguing outlook on life within objects. An event takes place within a house which in turn is only seen by the structure of the house leaving no evidence; it is only the objects within that truly know the truth know the secrets!
The film is shot in a unique way depicting the walls as alive. And though it is an impressive film at times it lacks the quality throughout as it shows in particular places. Leah eggalton gives a performance which admittedly is limited due to the lack of screen time but the simple things she dose has a good effect on the film and is someone to watch out for in the future when given a stronger role.

Following Godard’s maxim that “films should have a beginning, a middle and an end but not necessarily in that order” director Daniel Parslow shows an incline to agree he leaves the film in a state of openness giving it the ability to be made into a feature films and expanded on as an ideas and narrative. The budget is very limited and the location seems to be chosen due to it convenience not its aesthetic quality, no offence intended to the home owner. This British film is a look into the future or film for Britian and new directors over the globe but director Daniel Parslow show grate potential and hopefully lives up to the hype that surrounds his interest hobby and talent.

Those expecting to see a rounded film with all ends tied up and plot foreseeable should probably steer clear but those who enjoy a different take and a new experience should be interested. Parslow refers to his film as a silent dialog which he describes as having a power and intensity which can be grater than some spoken use of language, maybe he is reading to much into it but our view is that the lack of dialog dose add an extra boost! To the emotions felt,

Overall the film is a slow paced but intriguing and intense look at life with in objects. The Cinematography is powerful and gives the audience an insight to a different way of seeing. Directed by Daniel Parslow, who shows promise and intent reinforced by the interesting narrative. The film has moments of quality and some which are lacking and is a good achievement due to recourses and budget overall the idea is stronger than the ability to convey and is rated a 4 star short film.

i want to use a stand out quote which is a convention in a varity of reviews the quote i was thinking of useing “A silent dialog which he describes as having a power and intensity”

other aspects i wanted to add around the page where:

Certificate 15 director Daniel Parlow staring Leah eggleton screen play Daniel Parslow distributor shepherds films

If you liked this you will like – inception 2010 – The Matrix 1999 – unbreakable 2000
